What are differences between Psi Operatives in XCOM 2 and Psykers in Warhammer: 40K?
Does anyone know what are the chances of unit getting random skill in promotion?
So I had known who the Vipers are from the Xcom reboot they were loosely based on the Snakemen from the original Xcom games But They are completely different to them as the Snakemen weren't reptiles but rather Aliens with a snake like body But I am here to talk about the Vipers from the Xcom reboot Series and why they aren't even Aliens but rather actual Snakes we all know about from earth so let's being.
So let's Talk about the Vipers now we know they are called the Vipers even though they aren't actual Vipers but Cobra's we all know because they have a snake hood just like Cobras although not all of them were cobras because in Chimera Squad we saw there are many types of snakes too. But one Thing about them is...... We don't know much about them like they are an Army for ADVENT and the Elders but we don't know anything else about them, only that they are the only anthro animal-like creatures in this game.
Now one thing In the Alien Hunters DLC is that where the place you go to defeat the Viper king is a place full of Vipers and Normal Snakes yes if you don't know there were Normal Snakes in there Territory and they are pretty cool with it you know (Now it would be Funny if they can talk to them and be a Part of there Military like there spies since they are not big Anthro Snakes it would be Funny as Hell) But You get the point.
Also one thing we do know is that the Viper King wasn't the only male Viper Because in XCOM Chimera Squad we can see an Ad of a female viper with a Male Viper who is wearing a Suit but I will talk about it later.
So Now This is the Part of what I say of Who the Vipers really are? Well I Do Know for sure they aren't Aliens at all But I know There Origins is and may be Similar to another Fictional Race From another Franchise and they are......... The Triceratons From Teenage Mutants Ninja Turtles!
So The Triceratons are a race of Triceratops Like Aliens in The TMNT Franchise They first appeared in the original Mirage TMNT comics There home planet was destroyed for unknown reasons but in the 2012 version of them there home planet was destroyed by the kraang Utroms who were corrupted by and serve Kraang Prime. It's never unclear if the Triceratons are evolved Triceratops But that changed when The IDW versions of them were introduced in the IDW TMNT comics, This version of them are not an independently developed race but rather the creation of the Utroms via genetic manipulation of Triceratops's abducted in the prehistoric past, engineered to serve them as workers and soldiers. Later however the Triceratons banded together with other peoples to rise up and overthrow their Utrom oppressors.
In the story the original Triceraton population, known to themselves as the First Herd, was all but wiped out while serving as soldiers for Emperor Quanin, with the herd's sole survivor being a very young Zog. The Utroms cloned the dead soldiers to create the Second Herd, and as their clone bodies gradually matured in stasis chambers, the Utroms trained Zog to be a soldier and the clones' general. After the first generation of clones had already matured, one of the mature clones, Commander Zom, discovered something about General Zog's birth parents that triggered both Zog and Zom to begin their rebellion
After the Utroms defeat the Triceratons were freed from their servitude but without a homeworld. They continued allying with their wartime allies the Neutrinos on the condition that they would be awarded a homeworld of their own. After the Triceratons helped defend the Neutrinos from Maligna's invasion, King Zenter recognized and officially proclaimed Earth as the one true Triceraton homeworld, and facilitated their return to Earth for resettlement. King Zenter incorrectly assumed that Earth's current inhabitants were better prepared to handle the repatriation of an alien species.
When the Triceraton fleet arrived on Earth they initially landed in New York City and attempted to establish peaceful (albeit armed) contact with the humans already living there. But their first official contact was with Agent Bishop and the Earth Protection Force, who declared his belief that the Triceratons (like other mutants originally from Earth) were an "abomination" and mortal threat to the human race and immediately attacked them. The Triceratons and the E.P.F. battled in the streets of New York until they were both ambushed by Splinter's Foot Clan.
The Triceratons successfully escaped and began a full-out invasion of New York, which continued their conflict with the E.P.F. and the Foot Clan. The invasion was stopped when the Utrom Ma'riell agreed to have the Triceratons live on Burnow Island, and the Turtles and Baxter Stockman successfully transported them to the island.
However, the Triceratons' relationship with the Utroms remained fraught with problems, as many lingering resentments on both sides. Donatello mediated a treaty between the two species and uncovered an assassination conspiracy, but there was still a great deal of mistrust among the Triceratons.
So I believe this is what the Vipers are they were not an independently developed race but rather the creation of the elders to serve them as workers and soldiers, So The Viper were just once regular snakes many years before the rise of mankind that the Elders or some other Alien races that worked for them visited earth and seen these snakes and had an Idea to use them as weapons to server them to the elders to which they did turning them into the vipers we know.
Now it's unknown if there exist something similar to the Mutagen from TMNT or something like a Evolvo-Ray from crash bandicoot (which was a machine to evolve ordinary animals into super sapient beings) in the xcom reboot universe But all I know is these Aliens did evolved them but we don't know how they did it and turn them into the snakes we all know so it remains somewhat a mystery.
Another Thing that is odd about them is there Tongue it is long and they can do a Tongue pull, Now it's odd since there are no type of real snakes that has a tongue that long but it is similar to that of a chameleon now it's strange why they have that unless it's a thing that they all have since they are evolve snakes when they were created.
Now the other Thing about is that why don't we see much male Vipers but just only the Viper king well I Believe there is a reason why, The Viper king are not the one only male Vipers because remember we can also see in this Ad in XCOM Chimera Squad of a green male Viper, So I believe the real reason why we don't see much of the males is because I think long ago many of the male Vipers were getting killed possibly from another planet where the Elders were taking over before they arrived on Earth, So They decided to use the males for breeding since they were almost gone and they probably put them somewhere they can never go but be safe like they just literally just locked the males up and use them for breeding to make more Vipers
Now it's unknown why they just couldn't clone the male Vipers. It's unknown really why they couldn't do that, But let's talk about the Viper king. It is a different type of Viper for many reasons but one thing we do know about it is It was recently hatched..... But how did it grow up so fast? Well it's simple This Viper king was an ordinary viper that was recently hatched by they obviously did something to him to make him grow up fast also we know this viper Doesn't has venom but shoots gas of ice which means they turn created this viper to be more powerful for war since all the vipers shoot venom just like normal snakes since they are indeed evolve snakes, also it's know that the description mentions that he was already reproducing with the female Vipers (which is really kinda messed up since this was a baby that was turned into an adult from ADVENT yeah I really feel bad for the viper king he had a screwed up childhood like forcing him to mate that quick was kinda really horrible).
Now let's Talk again about the normal Snakes we see in the place where we fought the Viper king in the DLC they are just there In there Territory and they seem really cool with that but why really? Well since I talked about that these Vipers are indeed evolved snakes created long ago The reason why they are there is because ADVENT are making them into Vipers! It really does make sense of why the Viper population was getting decreased and most of the males were almost gone. They need to create more by getting more of the regular snakes they had once captured and turned into soldiers many years ago. They were making more vipers for the war to increase their population fast as ever!
So yeah, ADVENT needed more Vipers for the war to make sure they didn't go extinct. But also not all Vipers were soldiers because in a trailer for patchwork we can see a viper doctor in an Propaganda Ad from advent meaning they had other roles besides all becoming soldiers for war and it's unclear why?
So now ADVENT has now become no more Humanity had won the war from the elders and every Alien and Hybrid were free from the Elders Control and also the Vipers had now became free from them and now can live in peace and coexisting with everyone else the Males had now been free from where the place they had been kept away from the public and now there population can be restored.
But another Thing that is strange is how they are still like Consider Aliens from This Cutscene of the Six Scientist Alien Grey Phoenix had capture and two of them were Vipers It's Unknown Why they are consider Aliens since they are not (Unless The People Are Really Fucking Stupid) But Also one of Torques Quotes in the game she said ''If The City Took Care of it's Alien Population, It wouldn't be a Problem'', Now we know that Torque was indeed Born on Earth but This Means That Torque and Her Kind Do not consider themselves as Aliens at all because They know who they really are In the past.
So there you have it The Vipers were actually Snakes that were captured by Aliens many years ago that were Transformed by them to become Soldiers and Workers for the Elders, Now I believe this is Something that will be explored in a future game or Spin-off But I also Think they weren't the only ones that were created by the Aliens I think they had turned other Animals they had once captured on Earth Many years ago into Soldiers like Turtles, Crocodiles, Frogs, Bats, Bears and who knows but if we do see more evolved Anthro animals in future games people will be raising their eyebrows and be asking Are these even really Aliens at all? But also if we do see more Anthro Animals will they be ones who Rebel from their creators and fought for their freedom or could they just be like the Vipers who never did Rebel or Overthrow their masters and still remain Loyal to them well..... Who knows, we just have to wait and see what's in store for the future of the series.
I playing xcom EW on mobile And i wanted to ask about how to play multiplayer. Anybody know?
I think we need to add recruitment dialogue for each of the Chimera Squad agents. (Not including Verge, Godmother, Cherub, and Terminal of course)
Hi I am new to this wiki page and I have will also starte playing xcom 2 collection by 31 may cause it is been downloading.
Hey guys, I'm playing XCOM 2 RN and I was reading about the facilities and came up with an idea...
Is it possible to put a GREMLIN in a workshop?
I was thinking about build two workshops one right over the other. If it is possible, I'd end up turning 1 engineer into 5.
The thing is:
The way my ant-farm is built RN, I need to wait more a month to do it
I didnt make any math about it.
So, what do you think? Is it possible? If so, is it worth it?
If there is a discussion about it anywhere, pls send me on the comments. Thx
So, I haven’t played any XCOM games, but I put some characters from the series into a tournament where fictional characters battle it out, and for some generic characters I put in I have to determine how many would logically be together. One of the contestants is an Advent Heavy Stun Lancer, and after a number of fails at finding information on how many would likely fight side-by-side, I’ve come here as I believe this to be the most likely place for someone to know the answer to it. Can someone help me out here?
I am doing pretty well in the campaign and I get the 'Deluge' mission. In the very beginning a Mechtoid drops behind my lines flanking my Colonel and Gunner and goes into overwatch. I run back my Concealment scout to break the overwatch and he is equipped with a Chameleon suit. The Mechtoid fires with a 1% chance to hit and not only hits but kills my scout. All through the mission I am missing some shots that are 75-80% chance and on some 100% shots I do half the expected damage. Still I am doing ok and towards the end my Colonel take a shot that kills muton but at the same time it destroys the cover my engineer is using. The engineer misses a 87% mindfray and I am forced to use a command to get the engineer to cover. I was saving this command for the final sprint to the truck, but having used it I couldn't turn the final dam valve and I missed the truck by one turn. Lost two high level soldiers in the mission but got the remaining 6 back to safety with a whole lot injured. It made me think if on some missions do XCOM deliberately make you miss some high percentage shots to even up the campaign? In another campaign I had a scout killed by a combination of 2% shot by a sectoid and then a 6% shot by mechtoid. For that to happen it has to 0.12% chance or 1 in a thousand.
As you know, Chimera is a Greek creature which is a hybrid of lion, goat and snake. So, who is a lion, who is a goat and who is a snake (besides obvious option) from 11 Chimera Squad operatives? :)
While playing Tactical Legacy Pack I noticed a strange carving on XCOM old LMG. It reads "RIP 2/12/16". I don't know what this means since the day "February 12th, 2016" doesn't tell me anything. Any thoughts?
But i dont even know what is xcom
What is the best way to kill the assassin? She is the only chosen I struggle to kill. I have no problems killing the Warlock and Hunter but the assassin always seems to destroy me no matter how prepared I am. I would just like to know if there's a general tactic to killing her.
Things went to shit, that's all I can say. I don't know how, but at unknown time ALL enemies stopped spawning in missions. It's just your squad, civvies (optional) and your objective. What a hell could happened and how to fix it?
