The Assembly at Chimera Squad HQ.

An Assembly is machinery that manufactures equipment. Assemblies can function autonomously but benefit from active monitoring. Their use is highly controlled because of their potentially dangerous applications. The use of unshackled Assemblies, which are capable of producing weaponry, is especially restricted.

An unshackled Assembly.

Chimera Squad may encounter a mission where they have to destroy an unshackled Assembly used by hostiles who are attempting to print and detonate a bomb. In another mission, Chimera Squad must stop Gray Phoenix from using an Assembly to build homemade plasma missiles.

Chimera Squad HQ has an Assembly Bay, which is used to unlock new and better equipment. Many Assembly projects cost Elerium. Agents can be assigned to Assembly duty to speed up projects, but they will be unavailable for Missions or Situations. Completed Assembly projects are available for purchase at XCOM Supply.
