Alien interrogations are only possible after the Alien Containment facility has been built and only for aliens that have been stunned by the Arc Thrower and captured. Interrogations primarily unlock valuable research credits which reduce research times on associated research projects. An alien that has been interrogated will become a corpse that can be autopsied.
