Dodge is a stat in XCOM 2.
"An increased Dodge stat can lead to "graze" shots, where only partial damage is applied."
- Each point of Dodge stat represents a percent chance for a unit to take reduced damaged from shots and melee attacks.
- The damage is halved and rounded down first without taking Armor points into account, which then can potentially nullify the damage.
- The damage reduced by Dodge cannot be less than 1, however, the Armor can absorb it.
- Dodge can only be triggered by attacks which do not have 100%+ Aim accuracy, and Dodge is not activated by AOE attacks such as grenades. [explanation needed]
- Dodge cannot be activated if a unit is attacked with Katana or Bolt Caster.[explanation needed]
Dodge can be gained or increased by:
- Applying Personal Combat Sims (Agility PCS). PCS effectiveness can be further increased with the Integrated Warfare Continent Bonus or Integrated Warfare Resistance Order.
- Wearing Light Armor: Spider Suit, Wraith Suit, Serpent Suit, or Serpent Armor.
- Performing Covert Actions which grant or raise the stat.
- Successfully hacking a Security Tower terminal with this type of reward. (temporary effect)
- Hunkering down. (temporarily increases Defense by 30 and Dodge by 50; requires cover)
- Accumulating Focus by Templars in combat. Dodge is temporarily increased depending on the reached Focus level, by: 10 for level 1, 20 for level 2, 25 for level 3.
Some enemy units have Dodge.
