Investigate Codex Brain Coordinates is a critical plot mission in XCOM 2.
Background[]
The map coordinate data recovered from the Codex brain points XCOM to a remote location in the wilderness, which might possibly the origin of the Codex. A team is dispatched to investigate.
Mission[]
This is a standard skirmish, where you need to find the target and eliminate all aliens in the area. Most of the opposition will be standard fare, but upon reaching the target, you'll be treated to a cutscene revealing that the Codex brain pointed to a psionic gate in the middle of nowhere. A Gatekeeper will emerge and add to the roster, so be careful when fighting alien pods, so that you don't accidentally activate it. Upon clearing the area, you will complete the mission and receive the next objective: Investigating the psionic gate at the upgraded Shadow Chamber.
