Skill Events are events that reward Ability Points during missions. Some rewards are granted based on an individual soldier's actions (for example, for making a flanking shot); the higher the soldier's Combat Intelligence, the more likely they'll receive the award. Other skill points are granted for major accomplishments, like killing one of the Chosen; these are automatically awarded, but the number of points awarded depends on the soldier's combat intelligence.
Skill Events will reward both Ability Points for the soldier that completed the action and the shared pool equally. For example, when a soldier takes a Height Advantage Shot and is rewarded, 1 ability point is granted to both the soldier and the shared ability point pool (unless the soldier's ability points has already reached the cap for their Combat Intelligence).
The Templar Resistance Order Trial By Fire doubles all skill point gains from Skill Events.
