I believe impossible tactics should stay separated from strategy. Both topics will be quite long on their own and they are fairly independant.

Sectoid Disabling[]
The entire strategy about disabling Sectoids by flanking and using overwatch is not true. I used run & gun on my full health assault soldier, moved into position behind half cover while flanking two sectoids (their cover icons turned yellow), and used overwatch. When the aliens took their turn, one of the sectoids that I flanked immediately took a shot at my flanking assault soldier and killed him with a critical hit. So...yeah. This does not work.
The strategy states that sometimes a sectoid will shoot at you if you are low on health. I was at full health, but it's early in the game, so my assault only had 5 hit points. If that qualifies as being "low health," there isn't much point to this tactic. Locking down a sectoid, if it's even possible, is only needed early on in the game. Later on they rarely appear, and you'll have much better equipment and higher level soldiers that can actually hit stuff. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.177.45.183 (talk • contribs)
