Valid target types[]

Can we get a list of the enemy types this works on? Based on one game's experience it seems to be only the original Advent Officer (non-Advanced non-Elite), plus the Codex later on. --Alextfish (talk) 10:39, February 26, 2016 (UTC)

I had mixed odds on using it on ADVENT Officers outside of objective requirements, but I think I've managed it at least once on an officer when it wasn't a mission objective. I'll try it more often on the next playthrough. Purely from an objective standpoint, it seems pointless to include an item that can hack troops and only let you use it twice successfully.

Just used it during a Retaliation on an ADVENT Officer after having already Skulljacked one on a previous mission. It worked, but instead of summoning a Codex, there was a chance of Feedback and injuring the soldier. Wingstrike: The man with a fancy signature - Fancy Messages 18:51, February 27, 2016 (UTC)

Skulljacking: Officer and Codex

Skullmining: All ADVENT Personnel, I'm unsure if it works on Codexes.

I'm kinda waiting for patches before I test. Glymner (talk) 22:19, February 27, 2016 (UTC)

Neural Feedback[]

When Skullmining (i.e. not using the Skulljack for a set mission objective) there is a chance of failure like in hacking. Unlike hacking however, you can't back out of it once you manage to establish a connection, so there's a risk/reward to consider if your trooper has a low Tech score. So far Neural Feedback causes at least 3 damage and can cause panic, but the target/Skullminee still ends up dead.
I'm playing on easy though, anyone else encounter bigger feedback damage or other debuffs?

My one failed Skullmine on Commander difficulty gave Neural Feedback of 3 damage and still killed the ADVENT soldier, just as you say. --Alextfish (talk) 09:26, March 17, 2016 (UTC)
