I guess the Trivia is written "a little bit" unprofessionally because the AS50 is totally different in its appearance and it is semi-auto while the XCOM sniper rifle is bolt-action.
As for similarities the rifle looks more like ORSIS T-5000 (google it). Especially with a silencer.
