Battle Focus (Spoiler)[]
"Agent Carter is a squad leader and able to enter Battle Focus mode to activate his own enhanced abilities and to issue his team combat orders or activate their abilities."

Doubt about the character[]
Ok, so, I know this game came a long time ago but I jsut got it and I am curious about something. I have seen a few reviews and the character of Carter seemed to have gotten a lot of dislike (based on what I've seen ofc) and I was wondering why? I am near the end of the game, so I know of the twist and what Carter does near the end, now, while this certianly got me angry, are those actions enough to garner such disliek for the character? Or is it just other factors?

The point is that Carter is just plain boring. He is already flat as a cardboard cutout as it is, but the writers, for whatever reason, thought it was a good idea to shoehorn in that stupid twist. "Surprise! You're not Carter, you are the Ethereal!" OK... So what little character development Carter experienced are all pointless now? Those flashback scenes? Accepting help from the Infiltrator? Since it wasn't really him, but the Ethereal controlling him? Apparently, yes, since you're actually given the option to KILL him, the character we've been PLAYING as up until the final part of the game. And the most insulting part? The choice to kill him or not is completely fucking pointless, (Much like pretty much every choice in this fucking game, way to rip off Mass Effect and completely fuck up the one thing that made Mass Effect great) doesn't even affect the ending cutscene. Fuck this game, fuck whoever made it, this piece of shit should never have been part of the XCOM universe.
